After begging these companies to fix the problem privately for a year and a half — and being rejected by all of them — we have taken them to court.
A 280-page federal complaint is active in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, in Harrisburg. A more conventional complaint against Starbucks Corporation is active in Pennsylvania state court for exposing users and employees to dryer filth. We went to Starbucks twice to settle privately, a year apart. They declined twice. Verify all of it before you give.
I did the science alone. I wrote the complaints alone. I am representing myself. I cannot outspend UL Solutions, NSF, SGS, SmartEPD, and Starbucks standing in the middle of the ring. These companies have vast resources, but a pinpoint, precise legal game can prevail. We have gamed the scenarios and are prepared. There are many paths to victory.
But we need money. The cost of serving the cases to the defendants emptied the coffers. We made it to the end but now we must start again. This fund is what lets a solo citizen go the distance.
